101 did a fair amount of this in the Kauai Channel Race.

The Kauai Channel Race was EPIC! An absolutely awesome day of sailing in good trade wind breeze from Oahu to Kauai with two cool people. We had a fun day, placed third in class and had a blast in Nawiliwili afterwards. Now everyone’s headed home to Oahu and i’m prepping to leave US 101 in Nawiliwili for a while. I have a friend flying out here tomorrow and then i’ll be leaving on Wednesday to deliver a big cruising boat from Kauai to Seattle.

101 tied to a dock for the first time in over a month. Waikiki Yacht Club in Honolulu.

Had a rough, bumpy, but pretty fun passage from Kauai to Oahu. I knew that the trip would be difficult and uncomfortable on a short, lightweight boat like a Moore 24, but once again, I am amazed at this little boat. She seems to rest at anchor and say "Where do you wanna go? Hop on. Let's do it.". It blew high-teens to low 20's pretty much the whole time and there were big swells to contend with, so the boat pounded quite a bit, but no worries. Chillling here at Waikiki Yacht Club for a couple days and then probably moving to Hawaii Yacht Club. Going to do some boat work while i'm here and also been taking my sails and cleaning them with fresh water on a big lawn. Gave the boat a good rinse down today and then did laundry. This is the first time that 101 and I have been tied to a dock in 32 days, so we are happy to have facilities and land so accessible!!
